The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage signed a series of MOU on exchange in cultural heritage research with neighboring Asian countries like China, Japan, Russia, Vietnam and Mongolia. Under these agreements, joint survey and excavation projects are carried out, as well as a variety of human and knowledge exchange activities including international conferences. The institute also actively shares its knowledge and experience, for instance, by providing support for survey and conservation of Korean cultural heritage resources located overseas in places like the US, Japan, France, Germany and Russia, and engages in efforts to broaden the world community's awareness of Korea's traditional culture. |
International Exchange and Cooperation
To be a part of the effort to preserve Korea's cultural heritage resources, wherever their location, and promote related research, the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage entered into MOU on international exchange with various countries. Joint research with partnering overseas institutions is coupled with human exchanges in the form of training in Korea or support provided locally by Korean delegations, and guest lectures by international cultural heritage experts. |
